You can configure a connection to your local Datameer X server file system to bring in data stored locally on your server.

This connection is not available for Enterprise customers.

Configuring the Datameer X Server Filesystem as a Connection

In order to import and export from your Datameer X server filesystem, you must first create a connection.

  1. Click the + (plus) button and select  Connection or right-click in the browser and select Create new > Connection.
  2. From drop-down list, select Datameer X server filesystem as the connection type. Click Next.
  3. Enter the Root path prefix.
  4. Select if the connection to be used for import, export, or both.
  5. If required, add a description and click Save.

Importing Data with a Datameer X Server Filesystem Connector

After configuring a connection to a custom protocol, you can set up an import job to access the connection.

  1. Click the + (plus) button and select Import Job or right-click in the browser and select Create new > Import job.
  2. Click Select Connection and choose the name of your custom protocol connection (here - Datameer X Server Filesystem) then click Next.
  3. Enter to path to the file or folder you want to access, and enter the delimiter.
  4. Click Next.
  5.  A preview of the imported data is displayed. Review the schema.
  6. Review the schedule, data retention, and advanced properties for the job.
  7. Add a description, click Save, and name the file.
