Import & Export Functionality Updates

Hive JDBC Client for ZooKeeper Support

A new JDBC based hive client is introduced to gather meta data informations from the Hive Server2. This enables ZooKeeper support as well. The Hive Server2 authentication for the connection with JDBC is now enabled for LDAP authentication.

Tableau Hyper Format Native Library Requirements

Google Cloud Connectivity

Bidirectional Connectivity to Google Cloud Storage and Google BigQuery

Datameer is now connected to Google Cloud Storage for import and export. You can now also configure import and export for Google BigQuery. Export table names are validated to detect failings in export jobs.

Remote Data Browser Update

Datameer's Remote Data Browser now shows the files that are located in the Google Cloud Storage. This functionality is enabled within the connection details.

IAM Authentication

In Google Cloud environments you can authenticate via Identity and Access Management (IAM) now. That means a cloud resource gets a special role to access another resource without using credentials or keys.

Google Cloud Dataproc

Datameer is now compiled and connected to Google Dataproc 1.4.

Working with Workbooks Updates

New Workbook Analytics Functions

Datameer`s new logical workbook functions make it easier to work with erroneous data sets.

Cancel Column Renaming

It is now possible to cancel the renaming of a column by pressing 'Escape'.

Workbook Sheet Inspector

Former Datameer versions provided information about sorted columns in the 'Workbook Info Dialog'. The dialog is removed and other functionality was transferred to the 'Sheet Inspector' without information regarding sorting.

Information When Columns Have High Cardinality

Workbook columns with high cardinality now show a warning message in the encoding inspector. Besides that, the workbook encoding documentation is updated.
