Data Access Permissions

You can set up permissions for import, export jobs, data links, and connections.

To set up permissions for import, export jobs, data links, and connections:

1. Click the File Browser tab at the top of the page.
2. Click the selection you want to set permission for in the navigation window on the left side of the screen.
3. Click the job that you want to the edit permissions.
4. Right-click the name of the selected job and select Information or click the Information icon on the tool bar.
5. The permissions setting is listed at the bottom of the Sharing section of the information page.
6. Select the owner from the list.
7. Optionally, add groups and set view, edit, and run permissions for the group.
8. Click Add Group to add additional groups if desired.
9. Set view and edit permissions for all users.
10. Click Save.

Related Default Properties

The following flags control the setting of default permissions for new artifacts (RWX, R - read, W - write, X - execute, _ - no permission) in the default.properties file:

• datameer.file.permission.other.default
• datameer.file.permission.fulldata.default

The datameer.file.permission.enable.change=true flag allows changing the permissions of each artifact.
