Groups

Use groups to simplify permissions and authentication.

Creating and Editing Groups Within Datameer

You can create and delete groups with Datameer X internal authentication. 

To create a group:

1. Click the Admin tab.
2. Click the Groups tab in the right column.
3. Click New Group.
4. Enter a name and click Save.

To rename a group:

1. Click the Admin tab.
2. Click the Groups tab in the right column.
3. Select the group you want to update.
4. Update the group name at the bottom of the page and click Update.

To delete a group:

1. Click the Admin tab.
2. Click the Groups tab in the right column.
3. Highlight the group or groups you want to delete.
4. Click the Trash can icon to delete a specific group or the delete all selected button at the bottom to delete multiple groups.
5. Confirm the deletion.

LDAP Authentication Groups

You can view all groups recognized by the LDAP server unless specified on the group exclude list in the LDAP setup.
